![]() It's been a crazy two weeks and I'm sorry I missed the Smart Cookies Meetup. I see from the reviews and attendance that all went well despite my absence. As many of you heard, I had a pretty hectic day on September 29th and missed the meetup due to the early (and somewhat emergent) delivery of our little Orin Paolina Cesarini. Now that I have a moment, I can thank you all for attending and for your understanding given the circumstances. In addition, I also want to thank Jeremy Lim for doing a great job as photographic sponsor for the meetup. In a seemingly endless barrage of dirty diapers, I haven't had the chance to publicly thank him until now. As you can see from the photo above, guy's got awesome talent. If you're not familiar with Jeremy's work, consider adding him as a contact on Flickr to see the excellent work in his photostream. In addition, you should also go behind the scenes and read the Jeremy Lim blog for the background stories of his shoots. Much of Jeremy's photography profiles the DJ scene, where he captures the gritty side of club life but as you can see from his Smart Cookies meetup photo set, regardless of the venue, he excels at bringing out the human touch in his subjects. Of course, a huge thank you also goes to Katie Dunsworth Reiach and Andrea Baxter for delivering an "advice-full" presentation based on their well-known mastery of marketing and PR. I thank them also for taking the helm at the last minute. Thanks to Pacifica Partners for sponsoring appetizers. If you haven't already done so I suggest you RSVP for their Risk Management Seminar. The event is tomorrow, and time is running out to hear expert advice on Reducing your Financial Risk (save the $10 with discount code: socialmedia). Lastly, thanks to meetup video sponsor Ronnie Bugay who's editing our Smart Cookies meetup video. We saw what a good job he did last time, and he should have his finished product to you soon. Thanks to videographer Kosmas Mavromatidis, Ronnie has lots of footage to work with. In closing, thank you all for attending, I look forward to meeting our newest members at our next meetup featuring more great speakers! |
